You Are Invited!
Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th.
The Shalom b’Harim community is proud to sponsor a weekend set aside to meet, pray, sing, eat, and recreate together. We will be led by the Goldring/Waldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life’s artist-in-residence Joe Buchanan.
Joe who? Joe Buchanan makes Jewish Americana music. Joe’s music highlights the values, Torah, and history of the Jewish people to deliver stories steeped in the struggle and triumph of the human spirit, all while praising G*d fo the goodness in life. It’s music you can crank up to 18.
The weekend will kick off on Friday evening with an Erev Shabbat Service followed by an ice cream social, a Saturday morning Torah Service followed by a Kiddush luncheon, an inspirational presentation, and will conclude on Saturday evening with a Havdalah Service and concert.
Ticket price is $20 per person to help Shalom b’Harim defray the costs involved including honorariums and refreshments. Your ticket covers one or all of the events.
We welcome your attendance at any or all of the events.
We’re also looking for your help to make this event even better and would greatly appreciate your assistance. Volunteer today by calling Deb Arnold at (423) 716-5805.
Shalom b’Harim is a congregation of inclusion, not exclusion.
In order to insure that everyone that wishes to participate in these important Jewish events can participate the Board of Directors has established a Sunshine Committee authorized to modify event charges either wholly or in part. If, for any reason, monetary concerns would prevent anyone from joining us, please call 770-364-7024 and speak to Ellliott. All discussions will be held in the strictest confidence.
